Good morning to all ODS Veterans
In the book “Sword in the Sand†published by Concord publications, we can see is a color photo of an Iraqi YW-750 armoured Ambulance . This armored vehicle is painted in Green and sand colour.
I am looking for informations about this particular vehicle, captured during desert storm. I don't know if the photo has been taken in kuwait or in Saudi Arabia where dozens of captured iraqi vehicles were displayed after the war.
I would like to know you have seen this kind of vehicle with the same camouflage scheme. I looking for pictures of this particular vehicle ( right side, back side and top) or pictures of yw-750 displaying the same camouflage patterns.
Thank in advance for your help
Regards
Alex

Hi Thank you for your message
On this picture, we can see the YW-750 between a MTLB and an APR-40 MLRS. I would like to know if some of you know this place and if somebody has taken some pics of these iraqi vehicles

Why the huge interest? I don't recall seeing that type of track. I did see an Iraqi bus that was green with the red moon symbolizing an ambulance that was shot up. From what I recall, the soldiers on board the bus decided to fire at 2/7 infantry and they lit it up.

Sorry for the delay in replying. I am an iraqi armors enthusiast and I am looking for information about "the Dhahran Petting zoo" the iraqi tank depot where many iraqi captured vehicles were displayed after the war in Dhahran.
Does anybody can help me??
I think that many gulf war veterans have probably visited this place.
Good night.

I would disagree with ya. I bet there isn't one storm vet that has visited that place.
Google your track and see what you find. Iraqi armor was easily penetrated and easily destroyed. So easy in fact when the tank crews came in contact with American tracks the Iraqi's would get out of the tank because they knew it would be immediately destroyed.
