My group was all nam vets except for me and 1 marine from storm. It was good group. It's all monthly now not weekly. I self medicated a lot of years when i got out too so I could sleep. The VA meds got me now too. I smoke the green when possible (not very often) and a beer maybe monthly. That's 'bout it.

You can start your own group with the other DS vets like I did way back when. I stopped the groups in the VA in the 90's for I was the only DS vet. But it was the same old guys saying the same old things week after week. I could not take it. just not going any place and not helping each other. So I started the Veterans network. I have that and now I also run the NGWRC.
You can use the start up guide to do your own group to help and do thing for other DA vets in your area. just keep things fun, let family help just make it your own---

I've been avoiding the group meetings at the VA the last 5-6 months because it seems like the same guy talks every time about the same crap like his band and so on. They are all DS vets, most were senior NCOs, and retired now. In all there's only like 6-7 of us in the group and that stinks cuz I know there are a lot of other DS vets around here.

.....I think my ramble is done ...for now. Peace my friends and I hope your next 6-7 days go good for you all. Don't do anything stupid and keep your attitudes to yourself, the idiots around us just have no idea and its not really their fault because they did not go through what we did.

my wife finally wrote her letter for me on my claim ....mann, kinda hurt to read it, she really did'nt want me to read it, but finally gave in. after i read it, she looked at me an said sorry...blew my mind, asked her why she was sorry, sge said, you said to write it all down, so i did.... i told her that i was the one that was sorry for putting her an the kids through things. but she understands ....what did i do to deserve her, i dunno, :D . got a couple more things to gather up before i sent another packet up.

VA in Manila only has a psychologist. I will go to a civilian shrink again. Hoping i can find an anti depressant with less sexual side affects. My wife and I want to have kids. The last antidepressant i was on i couldn't orgasm, or at the best it took god awful long time.
