Funny you say that, I woke up just after 2am. I laid tehre for what seemed like an hour before I got up and took a leak and laid back down. I eventually fell asleep but I know I was in and out of it for at least 2 hours.

A Real Woman is a man's best friend.
She will never stand him up and never let him down.
She will reassure him when he feels insecure and comfort him after a bad day.
She will inspire him to do things he never thought he could do; to live without fear and forget regret.
She will enable him to express his deepest emotions and give in to his most intimate desires.
She will make sure he always feels as though he's the most handsome man in the room and will enable him to be the most confident, sexy, seductive and invincible...

No wait...Sorry.
I'm thinking of whiskey.
It’s whiskey that does all that shit.
Ah hell...Never mind.

Sorry ladies, we know you do more for us!

I hear you Redfish! I went through all kinds of sleep studies for sleep apnea, spent close to $1000 on co-pays for the tests and the CPAP machine so I can finally get some "quality" sleep. Now I don't use the machine because the better I sleep the worse & more vivid the nighmares are. Truly cannot win for losing......

Gulf War Illness Alert: Headway Made by Canadian and US Medical Researchers :
February 12, 2011 by Denise Nichols ·

Most recent published pilot research project on Gulf War Illness by combined research between University of Miami, Miami VA and University of Alberta in Canada is showing a complex disorder involving the nervous, endocrine and immune regulation systems points stronger to an auto immune component to Gulf War Illness. This was a small pilot study to test their hypothesis which involved 9 Gulf War Veteran and 11 control subjects, but it does appear to confirm their connection. It also boost the gulf war veterans that this is indeed REAL. Autoimmune disorders can involve the total of body systems and the list of autoimmune disorders are quite numerous.

Stole this from another site. Thought it might be appropriate today:

Thank you Soldier

Have you stopped to thank a veteran today?
For the price of freedom they had to pay?
Did you gaze into those distant eyes?
Did you see the ghosts he can't deny?
Did you think a soldier's heart was made of steel?
Because he was trained to kill, he couldn't feel?
Did you see the guilt written on his face,
For the loss of life he can't replace?
Did you know he mourns the lives he couldn't save,
And walks with comrades in their grave?
Did you remember the boy with innocence lost?
Do you really know war's ultimate cost?
Have you felt the blast of artillery fire?
Do you have the courage it would require?
Have you stood in trenches consumed with fear?
Felt the enemies breath so very near?
Have you walked with God on a battleground?
Seen your brothers dead or dying all around?
Have you stopped to thank a vet today,
Or did you just turn and walk away?
From the pain he'll carry for the rest of his life,
Did you consider his family, his children, his wife?
That watch him suffer in silence each and every day,
As he's haunted by memories that don't go away?
Did you care that the soldier is still pulling guard?
That his heart, mind, and soul will forever be scarred?
Do you know how he suffers from ptsd?
Or that our precious freedom is never free?
Did you care that he still hears the blood curdling screams?
Or that he returns to the war each night in his dreams?
Have you felt the sorrow of a combat vet?
Or would you rather just forget?
That war has pierced his hardened heart,
And torn this soldier all apart?
Would you rather our heroes just fade away?
Or will you stop to thank a vet today?
