Auto log in

Post by MACTANK » Thu Mar 22, 2007 10:10 am

It seems that even though I check the block to automatically log me in, I still have to type in my UI & PW when I come back to the site.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

My IE is setup to make me retype me password each time. Its more than likely a security setting on your system that affects the cookies from this site.

My home computer is setup to accept cookies so I don't have to retype it each when visiting from home. My work system is setup to not accept cookies so I do have to log in each time at work.

I don't have any problems with the auto sign in. The computer at work, my home computer and my laptop all do it for me. I hate having to log in someplace everytime I want to get on a site.

Its not a site issue, its local to your computer(s). I never have to log in from home as each time I come here my info is remembered but at work I do have to log in each time because of how our cookies are handled on our computers.

Political Place is running the same board and I do not have to log in twice there. My old high school is also running the same format and no trouble there

I still have to log in twice, I clicked the remember me box, and still have to log in. I've been doing it so long now, I don't care.

Ok, try this.

Open a browser, click on Tools and then Internet Options, then Security, then Trusted Sites, then add the forum URL to the trusted sites list. Go back and log in with checking the box to "remember" your info. I just did this on my work computer that always made me relog in each time and it no longer requires me to do so each time.
