Thanks for posting this information for us to know more info of the 365th EVAC Hospital. One of my relatives was confined in that hospital for his disease and I'm thankful for the fast recovery. I'm also thankful to the hospital staff for taking importance to their patients. They have the best services in there.FuzziKittiSliper wrote:Hello,
My father was in the 365th EVAC Hospital out of Niagara Falls, NY which was activated in Desert Storm. He was stationed in Omen at the Air Force Base from Syracuse which the units named Nacirema. You have the unit listed but not that it is a Reserve Unit and where they are out of. Please add the info to your list thanks. If i can think of anymore information about his unit and such that I feel may be of interest to anyone I will post them.

To FuzziKittiSliper,
Just to clarify, the name Nacerima was the name given just to our "tent city", which is of course where we spent all our time when not at the hospital. And the hospital was part of the 1702nd Air Refueling Wing, which was made up of active duty AND reservists, so it would not be listed as a "reserve" unit specifically. I was there with about half the staff of my O.R. and hospital from Scott AFB Medical Center. OUR reservists, so to speak, stepped up and took our places in the hospital while we were gone, which was very important. Thanks for your interest.

Re: 365th EVAC Hospital
I just want to share my experience when we were in this hospital. My grandpa who is a member of the infantry battalion during the gulf war was diagnosed in this hospital. The staff are so nice to their patients and it does a big help to the patients. Thanks for having a nice atmosphere among patients and hosptial staff from the 365th EVAC.

I just prayed all hospitals are like the 365th EVAC Hospital and the personnel also. It merely symbolize the true service that must be served to our fellowmen.
