Were you with me when we had 50% guard that night and we hid in the back of that deuce and a half full of garbage to sleep? I was pissed off because had been out haulin' shit since the previous damn night and they still made me pull guard. SSG. Nyre was looking all over for us.

Thats right. we would hide and damn 20 minutes later sgt nyre was hunting us. Damn I was tired and yea they did keep sticking it to the same group of us. do you remember Rincon cutting hair and massively screwed up Choder's hair? He was all mad and all of us were laughing our asses off. About a week later Choder went home cuz his foot hurt. That was way back in like early november.

He whined about his foot for a while. Limped around. When we got back home I'm sure he felt ashamed and embarrassed. He was wearing a combat patch too on his BDU's. Some of us complained and the CO made him take it off. I think he ETS'd a month or so later. Or, he transferred. But, he was gone. Never saw him again.

My unit flew into King Fahed airport, satyed at Cement City a few days, stayed in old abandoned trailers in Umm Al Sahik for a week or two then headed north. Stopped at KKMC and stayed in some old abandoned cinder block building for the start of the air war. Then we headed further north and set up the EPW camp outside Hafar al Batin. Bounced around the desert, went south on supply runs, stayed in Kobar Towers for 4 days then flew out of King Fahed. Other than that it was tents and desert.

It was still really good. It only lasted a few minutes but it was awesome. Do you remember when Heffner would come over into our area everybody would hide cuz he was so nasty?
