Welcome to the forums Mike, I am glad that you found us. Please feel free to share some info about yourself and how you have been doing since the Gulf War. We'd love to see any pics you may have from back then too.

Re: F co. 1/227th. avn. 1st. Cav. Div.
All I can suggest is to just keep searching the veteran websites. I found a couple through Military.com and they led me to others that they still keep in contact with and so on. Depending on what info you have on any opf them, you might be able to do a veterans search on vetsearch.com
I have yet been able to find anyone I was in the desert with though, those I did find where over there but I was stationed with them prior to transferring to 1st Infantry Division and deploying.
Those guys with the bad attitudes may have either had bad experiences while in or that's their way of dealing with not feeling as important as they did back then. I have that problem, While my current life is fine, married with kids, and I am getting by personally OK, I do not feel as complete or as much importance as I did while I was in the Army while at the same time I am right where I am supposed to be, married, kids, a job that almost takes an act of congress to get fired from no matter how bad of a day I may be having mentally.
Just keep looking as you did with finding our li'l neck of the internet, you'll finally find someone.

Hey gordon, A couple of us ended up in oregon, they passed away a long time ago, bout five years after the war from mysterious things the v.a. refused to acknowledge. It has been so long ago, i am going to have to ask my exwife, their names, I know that sounds horrid. I have personally had many problems with cancer, beat the beast everytime though. Where did you end up and how have you been?
If you hear from anyone, let me know. Mike.
