Is it true when you are being trained as a tank driver, you are locked in a tank in the dark for 24 hours and then required to operate it perfectly doing only your duties once that 24 hours is up in order to pass?
this is what I was told, i'm just wondering if it is true or not?

Hello This is Ssgt Ramos of E trp 2/3 ACR out of Fort Bliss Texas 79916. When I went through driver's training at Fort Knox, Kentucky, I did not experience any of that.

I initially trained as an M60A3 tanker, and transitioned to M1 later, never heard of that.
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.
