There where two camps labeled 401st epw camp. Camp Bronyx and Brooklyn. Can anyone advise where these camps where actually located. I was withe the 223rd MP Co. Ky National
Guard. Our platoon was assigned to an ammo supply point for a few weeks, then we moved to the epw camp. They where about 10 to 20 miles apart. I have lost contact with the people i served with.
Anyone assigned to the 401st EPW, do you have any illneses.

Here's a quick rundown of my problems. I am currently 60% disabled.

Bad respiratory problems: I take Accolate, Advir inhaler, Albuterol Inhaler.
I have Acid Reflux - mainly from the asthma, the inhalers and coughing all the time. Note: I never smoked. I take Omeprezol for that twice a day.
Migraine headaches – can’t find any med to touch them
I get Sharp head pains that will just strike like someone is shoving a knife in my brain. I have almost driven off the road from some of these.
IBS, talk about a pain in the ass…. Myself and some of my unit got really sick when we were in the camp, almost to the point of medevac for dehydration. It lasted several weeks and I was down and out! I Couldn’t keep anything in me from either end. And of course the Doc we had we nicknamed Dr. Bombay (from the show Bewitched). The dude was useless and just kept giving me Immodium. We never did figure out what it was that caused it. Ever since then there are foods that I just can’t eat anymore.
I have Short term Memory loss and concentration problems. I see people that I think I recognize and start talking to them and they think I’m a fruitcake. Then I run into people I used to know and I don’t recognize them or remember their names. I forget the names of my co-workers, guys I work with everyday, all the time. I lose words during conversations….it’s really embarrassing!
PTSD/ anger issues, which I have never had in my life! I was like the sleeping kitten that just kept sleeping. Then I became this vicious, no patience, throw the TV remote against the wall for no reason crazy person. I would instigate fights and arguments; I would go into rages where all I would see was Red! For that I take 100mg of Prozac a day. My Happy Pills as I call them.
Anxiety & Insomnia : I take Lorazepam at night to sleep
Nightmares
Tinnitus

If you have any other questions fire away. This is a good forum for sharing and gathering info. I have lost contact with anyone else that I was over there with. I was a filler in a unit that was @ 40% strength when it was activated. We had fillers from all over!

Take care,

Thanks for the info. I've been looking for something like this for 20 years. Nice to see the offical breakdown and what we all did.

Its amazing that the Brigade or the battalions weren't put infor a unit citation.
