I see my company was listed exposed at kamisaya

Post by OnQuest » Sun Nov 28, 2010 2:23 am

Hello Everyone.

Great to have found this place. My Name is Mike Jansen I served with 362nd engineers (cse), 30th eng battalion, 20th engineer brigade, attached to 24 I.D. My mos was 62echo.
We were there from October 19th? 1990- april 12th ish of 1991.

I see that my company is listed as one that was exposed to chemical agents from kamisaya (sp?). I am 30% service connected for asthma (just got a raise from 10% 2 months ago) and I'm also getting 10% for my skin rash that appears over my kidneys and on my calves. Since we are on the list as ones that were exposed should i try for any other kind of disability? My next goal was to try for ptsd or depression... Depression is in my medical records.. but not till i had been out a while. I'm living in the Philippines now and am married to filipina. Most of my issues are receiving care from the VA already .. other than the depression which is not really helping my marriage much. Good thing i found such a patient woman... i'm not the easiest person to live with. Hope i can get help from the VA before my wife gets tired of me.

I'd appreciate any advice or pointers ... The VA in manila seems to be pretty decent to deal with at least.

Mike Jansen

What kind of skin condition on your calves? What does it look like? Any bumps or pustules?

When it gets bad enough it gets scabs over it and turns a bright red. But yes its always bumps no matter how bad it gets.

They called it atopic dermatitus. I only got 10% because of the amount of skin it usually covers...
