pyridostigmine bromide (PB pills) were given to a lot of soldiers. I remember taking them and then the command coming around and telling us to stop and taking what we had left. There are theories that these pills mixed with pesticides may be causing some of the problems. I also took a lot of shots before we left and there was one that I remember that they were pushing us to take after the PB pills when we were in country. I cant remember if I took it or not. They were threatening me with an article 15 if I did not take it.I was at a remote site away from my unit so do not know if I got away without taking it. I do remember getting pulled up by the C/O about the situation.I definitely do not remember signing any waivers but you know how the military works. They put a stack of papers in front of you and say sign here. here and here.Good luck

I remember hearing that all the tapes and records that documented all the Chemical Alarm activity disappeared, including the back up copies in a safe at the Pentagon. It wouldn't surprise me that other documents mysteriously disappeared as well.

I remember something like that too. I got too few brain cells left anymore to remember it more than that though.

I honestly can recall getting vaccines or taking any thing during my tours to the SouthWest Asia theater, I am quite certain I must have, have been trying to find my medical records from that time frame so I can have clarification, quite sure I am among now thousands GW vets and troops suffering from the conditions of Gulf war illness.I can say it when read an can comprehend what is being said,at times it liturally scares the $#!% out of me! I am on schedule for Gulf war Registry and have 1st appt Nov 2 '10
if anyone has been through this and can share please let me know
thanks

Start keeping a little notebook and write down everything that is bothering you.

For instance; 10/08/2010, 0900, migraine headache, lasted 8 hrs.

My VFW VSO told me to start doing that for my appeal on my latest rating decision. Also, get help! There are organization out there that offer help for free! They help you with filing claims, appealing claims explaining the Red Tape, and fighting for YOU so the VA doesn't screw you over. You can go to your State Veterans Council, the VFW, The Legion, The DAV.... Read up on the VA +/- forum, a lot of us have shared our wisdom and expounded on our experiences. And contrary to what the VA says, they all don't rate the same.

Also, when you talk to the docs recount your symptoms when they are their absolute worst! As you well know we're not getting better.

Good luck!
