desert shield operation RINGS

Post by KATY1225 » Sat Mar 10, 2007 2:46 pm

There were Ring/s sent out to people that served in Desert shield operation, they are yellow in color and have a red stone, does anyone know how to find out what company made them, what department sent them out, I need to get one sized and have no info. at all, Jewelers will not do it because it is gold plated, any info. would be wonderful, thanks so much.

I have never ever heard of this. Did you serve in a Guard or Reserve unit? If so maybe they had them made special. Please take a picture and post it so that we can see what the ring looks like.

I have always been interested in a Desert Storm ring, my wife had one made for me but it was big and bulky. I loved it but it was hard wearing it and I am not exactly sure where its been stored since the last time I wore it.

First I heard of a ring provided by a unit.

There are Desert Storm rings that you can order through VFW and American Legion magazines though.

I served in desert shield and storm. i was a door gunner with 1/89 xv111 airborne corps. we took the troops (82nd airborne) to the battles from rahfa and kkmc. we were at the peace talks, we some shrapnal as we flew away. we rescued some kuwaities from the ice cream republican guard. they can running to us crying to save them. we fed them and took them to safety. i gave a 10 year old boy my pocket knife. the grandfather had to okay it first. the boy was so happy. i have never seen anyone so happy. i know why i was there and why we are there. we know. we understand.

I'll let him slide for now. I'll give him the benefit of a doubt due to his post and WHAT he is selling. I'd like to see him actually introduce himself and his unit, share some stories and even some pics too though...hint hint hint!

I have a really nice Leatherman tool. I gave them to all the POW's I saw. They embraced us with such love and affection. We learned on many of the Good Ship Lollipop Republican Guard that all they needed was a little extra air in their heads and they would be so thankful with allah and his forty virgins. One little hole on the side of their pumpkin made everyone warm and fuzzy.

Leatherman tools available now for $19.95. Call now and get 8 free and one imitation Iraqi POW.
