Twenty one years ago Raymond Hatcher and Kevin Wright were killed. It was mid afternoon just south and east of Az Zubayr Iraq. I still carry a great deal of guilt from that day and it continues to cause me great emotion to think about or talk about it.

"Those who were there will never forget; those who were not will never know." 8O

RIP Brothers

Trick, you have said that we just never talked about what happened. We never mentioned it even after we came back. Maybe at the memorial this year we should. Cliff and I spoke about it a little. I'm gonna see about reserving an area in the museum for us while we are there one day. Let us know when bro.

yesterday afternoon, the phone rang here at the was out of area, usually we don't answer a number we don't know...but something told me 2 answer it. it was a woman, asked if this was cliff, then asked my last name, told her, then she asked from the 197th. inf. bde. durin the gulf war. told her yeas....she then told me her name, that she was Kevin Wright's widow.......I WAS FREAKED OUT, BAD, LOST FOR WORDS..... we then talked for about 10 mins, said she an her daugther wanted 2 call again, that she was only 3 yrs. old at the time of his death....i told her they could call anytime....
after we hung up...i sat down an cried , the past came flashing back, an thought thought of a lil girl losin her still shook up over it, but truly glad that she called, an hope 2 talk with them matter how bad it tears me up...
