Is it heated, does it have a ramp setting, what kind of mask do you have? The ramp means it starts on a low setting and builds pressure over 30 minutes. Heated to body temp so you don't feel it. The mask makes it bearable. They have masks that are called jellies that are nice and they have a type that just go in your nose called nasal pillows. Get a nice mask so its comfortable and fits you well. It may take a bit to get used to it. It's that way for everyone; but, once you get used to it, the benefit is awesome. Makes a huge difference and the medical advantages are significant. Its important, don't give up on it brother.

That's right, don't give up on it. I take 100mg - 200mg of Trazadone to help me sleep and the CPAP really helps me too. My wife told me I wasn't breathing for over a minute sometimes before I finally went and got checked out. Now I depend on the damn thing. I don't use the ramp setting, I couldn't get used to it not do I use the heat settings. I go for straight full-on air.
How long have you been on it? Are you just not used to having the thing on your face? I tossed my mask across the room a couple of times the first few nights I had mine. It took me a few weeks to get used to it, now I can't even take a mid-day nap without the thing.

I did the same thing for a little over a week Sarge, don't give up on it though. Keep trying it out and you'll eventually get used to it. I had forgotten what 4-5 hours of sleep was until I started using the mask. I can sometimes get 8-10 in now.
