I'm still guarded Top. Thanx. The Eval. doc said he would have totally disabled me be I am maintaining part time work. He did say if I lost my job that I could appeal it. I do expect the VA to low ball me as they always have. I'm mostly shocked @ his manner. He seemed to care and was attentive. Nothing like the '90's.

Good luck Imsnh! Let us know and welcome home.

Well, I was scheduled to o to the VAMC today for my MRI's but when I got home from work yesterday I had a message saying that i had to be rescheduled. Evidently when the Radiologist looked at the doc's request he protocoled it and added another MRI. So now I will be having 3, my head, C-Spine, and brain. so now I am rescheduled to the 22nd of June. More waiting....

I recieved my e-newsletter from the DAV last night and it has an article about GWI. I haven't read it yet but thought I would post the link for anyone who may be interested.

Have a great day!

I'm floored again with the VA. Is is amazing the differences between facilities. I've personally seen it though. I've already got my rating back. They rated me 70% for PTSD. Righteous man righteous. All the jail time, all the hospital stays, all the times in the ER, all the time as a walk in and never being seen... Feels like being vindicated.

They are gonna pay me back to January of this year which we never expected. Maybe the worm has turned.

Thank you guys for being here for my questions and my venting and the comradery. Top, Dagger, Haze, Redmaxx, Trick.. Thank ya fellas

Congrats Redfish ... pat yourself on the back as well ... you navigated the system, did the work, spoke the unspeakable. I know, as others here do, how difficult it was ... so kuddos to you for following through with a very difficult task.

Give your wife and kids a hug for their support also.

Haze,
I am glad to hear that you have a Service Officer helping you! Don't leave a stone unturned, file for every symptom no matter how small. You deserve to be compensated for EVERYTHING.

I am going to see my VSO at the DAV after I have my MRI's tommorow morning at the VAMC. I try to get as many visits done in that area as possible, it's only an hour away from my house but I never have any reason to go to that part of the state other than for the VA.

Stay strong,

Everything went well on the MRI, I will have the results by the end of the week.

I stopped by to see my NSO while I was out that way and she told me that I had missed filling out one of the forms for my PTSD claim. Of course the VA wasn't going to tell me that!

I took the rest of the day off, went home and worked on that. I was a bit of a wreck after having to write down the most troubling experiences from there. It was hard not to cry when I think of those things. We had a prisoner die while standing in the in-processing line and when the medics came to help all the other prisoners got a bit out of hand. That was the first time I ever pulled my .45 cal to possibly use.... I was scared S---less!

The other time was when a SCUD landed a few blocks where we were in one of our vehicles. That was February 14th 1991, Happy Valentines Day from Sadaam. We were watching the spiral of smoke in the sky and weren't sure where it was going to land. Man, we just wanted out of Dodge! As accurate as those SCUD's were nobody ever knew where they were going to land! About had to change my underwear after that event to....

Later boys!

Oh, and good luck on Friday Haze. Hopefully it isn't Macular degeneration that is bothering your eyes! They only have experimental treatments for that. Glaucome is more treatable!

Let us all know how it goes!

I've seen the WRIISC thing kicked around on here. I think it was you top that mentioned it last. Where can I get more info? The VA switched docs on me. I got a brand new looks like a 12 year old. He is not familiar with it.

Keep us in the know Haze. If you need me to write a letter for ya to support your claim, let me know. Thanks again for doing the same for me. The VA mentioned it supporting my claim.

Hey Little Sis', you guys weren't at Cobra were ya?
