I just got my rating in the mail, they upped me to 60% from 50% but they were sneeky about a few things and tried to combined stuff that was seperate before. They also didn't use the recent C&P PFT exam, they used an old one that faveored them and not me. I'll be fighting some more....

It's a C&P appointment, correct?

If so, they made the appt because they want a medical opinion about the current current condition and whether or not the condition was caused by or aggravated by military service.

The examination worksheets are used by the dr. to answer many questions that the rating officers need: when did this condition start?, what caused it?, what affect does it have on your life?, etc. etc.

Don't stress over it ... just review it so when you sit in front of the doc, you're not blindsided.

The C&P will be used to decide your claim ... remember 3 things required for service connection: A current medical condition, an injury or illness or situation while in the service, and a connection between the two.

I certainly hope I am not causing you more stress ... just trying to pass on what I have learned.

Sorry to hear that, but that is so typical ... wish I had some good advice for ya, but you already know ... Notice of Disagreement and/or Appeal.

Hopefully since they didn't use the most recent medical exam, it will be straightforward, but then what is when dealing with the VA?

Good luck with it.

No Brother, you caused me no stress, didnt mean to come off that way, this is all so strange to me, almost as if its some game the goverment plays. But yes, im ready for tomorrow, but if they cant see the whole picture, they clearly dont need to be in the medical field. Thanks for all your help.

C&P is done, 31/2 hours. From head to toe, every question in the book, i think it went fine, covered alot of things that i didnt even relize. I was treated very respectfully, was not humiliated in anyway. I was very suprised. But i think it went well. I will know in 5 weeks from the VA office in ST PETE FL. But we covered everything excluding the shrink, i have a C/P in november for that. Its for my Insomnia. So hope everybody does the same before the window closes in 2011.
