Again, my brother, holy shit. I've never seen this picture. Man didn't we clean up good after the war? They couldn't let us go back to the states lookin' like we been livin' in a hole for 8 months. What a great picture!! Thnx for posting this and all the pictures.

We stayed there before the ground war but after it they stuck us in some cement parking garage for what seemed like forever before we caught that iron bird home.

No there was no furniture and every bathroom in the entire place stunk like shit because the AC did not work and we knew nothing of the differences in styles of taking a dump.

Over here in the states we have 3 inch drain pipes for our shitters so toilet paper goes right down with little problems. Over there, as I am sure all remember, they wipe their ass with there hand and since they don, or didn't at that time, use toilet paper they had smaller drain pipes. Toilet paper didn't stand a chance of getting through there along with the waste so by the end of the first day nearly everyone's toilets were stopped up. lololol

never was good at drawing straws...
lol..i also remember alot of the rear detachment makin runs north 2 the border, so they could wear a combat patch....that pissed alot of us off.
nice pic though....sadly, i think most of mine r either lost or still undeveloped in a camera in the garage.

That must be something we have in common Haze. I have many rolls of film that still remains undeveloped. I took pictures with a cheap 110 camera I picked up before heading out to the field, and half the pictures are bad kinda quality, but I only ever had two or three rolls developed (actually my wife did, she didn't know what they were of) and I never had any desire to ever develop the remaining rolls that I am sure are still around here to this day. I guess I just don't care to see what modern weapons can do to a body ever again.

Common thread between a lot of us I know. I threw all my pictures away back in the 90's

i took mine 2 a feller that would do it, instead...neve will forget the look on his face when he handed them 2 me....
