Thnx bro. I recall quite well. We did not appreciate the reasoning behind the steel plates but also since that was their plan for the dozers, we were glad to have it. I dunno trick, I have no memory about the plates after we got back. Did dagger fix the site so we can post pictures?
All of us had our specific jobs during storm. I am thankful for yall as well. The Colonel I spoke with at Benning last year was the company commander of Delta company 1/18 during storm. He said after multiple tours to Iraq that the 72nd from storm was the best engineer company ever.

I never understood how you would be able to see what you were doing ,I know the plates were heavy and thick used a crane of some sort to put in postion I think we cut some rifle ports in them also I remember noone really wanted them we just followed orders.redfish wrote:Thnx bro. We did not like the little slot cut out to see through. However, the reason for the plates was to to limit the chance off being shot while clearing berms or mine fields or bunkers. The other reason was to help protect you while clearing paths through mine fields. We didn't mind the plates so much after that
