Post by Timberghozt » Sun Mar 11, 2007 11:38 am

I finished SRP this week and I`m waiting for orders..
What is the current climate like...I mean climate as in insurgent attacks, etc?
Still a daily thing or has it settled down any?

In the last month, the number of violent events has gone down dramatically in Baghdad. Last year there were as many as 130-140 violent incidents a day. Last month the average was somewhere between 20 and 30. The Baghdad Security plan is still in its infancy. Only 2 of the 5 surge brigades are in-country. In Anbar province, while still dicey, the local people are starting to get sick and tired of Al-Qaeda and are resisting their insurgent efforts.

Don't get me wrong. Iraq is still very dangerous, but thing are getting better every day.

Thank you for your service to our country. We are all hoping for your safe return.

GaryOwen!

Give a yell if you need something !
The only thing I wish more than being able to serve with y'all ,
would be there was no need for any to serve at all .
As long as there is evil in the world , I'm glad there is proud Americans willing to face it !
May God keep you til we meet again !

Hey fellas..I will do,if I need anything...

People have asked me how I feel about another deployment. Not a problem..
But in reality,I keep this to myself.I cringe at the thought of putting my sights on another human agai, and killing again which inevitably I will have to..But I will for my boys..It is all for them, that I can bring as many back as I can,.It is always for them,,
anyways.
Thanks fellas..I sincerely appreciate it..
