Request to change the forum name

Post by fabio » Tue Jan 16, 2007 11:40 am

After the UN estimates of Iraqi killed, I ask to change the forum name from "Iraqi Freedom" to "Iraqi Killed".

At least it will certainly sound more appropriate.

But then it would not be a forum for UN Coalition force Desert Storm era veterans.

But it would be political propaganda, just like the UN estimates, not the truth. How soon we tend to forget the hundreds of thousands that Saddam Hussein killed, but then that wouldn't paint an anti American, Eurocentric picture now would it? 8O In order to do that we must overlook all the evil he has done, vastly inflate the civilian casualties (most of whom were killed by fellow Iraqis), and blame everything on the United States.

Ah, the evil Americans, why can't we be more like the noble Europeans? Just let the world run all over us and dictate how we should run our affairs. We wouldn't have any freedoms, but at least the rest of the world would pretend to like us, just like they do to Europe.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and has the right to voice that opinion ... even if it is narrow minded, ill concieved, one sided, self serving, uninformed, or just plain stupid.

So, to the request ... I vote no.

Please don't. Fabio has been gone for awhile now so we should just forget about him. I had a run in with him a few times, he isn't worth the effort.

Yea, I dealt with him. Most of his posts were just "OK" enough to not kick him...YET. I eventually got tired of the ones that deserved deletion and they were outweighing hte ones that didn't so he went "bye bye" for good. I guess he got the hint as he never re-registered. He was posting/spamming a UK D/S vet board also.
