Why do you pick up the garage at the game reserves :?:
I dump the dumpsters, I meant, they are usually full of shot gun shells.
That would have been funny if that catfish would have latched on to your lips. I was cleaning one and chopped of it's head, for some reason I decided to stick my finger in it's mouth, hell they bite hard, even with no body attached. lol
I'm glad that it was only your finger............. 8O

On a side note (away from turtle shell holes and phallic catfishes....)

I have a small (3/4 + acre) pond that I would like to clean up and stock. Any ideas? The algae is really bad. I read there is some sort of enzyme to treat the water with and then try to plant "good plants" like lillies and such. I went to a "pond store", but it seems like they specialize in folks who want to spend thousands of dollars to put a "water feature" on their back porch. I might want to spend a couple hundred bucks on figuring out some sort of floatation aeration device, but thats about it. I'm going for "natural".

See if you can find BLUE STONE. I believe Tractor Supply carries it but not sure. You can always check with your County Extension Agent or the local office of Fish and Wildlife

Danger,I don't know how your state is, but our conservation officers are pretty cool, if you can get ahold of one of them, they might know, they seem to know everything about things like that.

I would like to have a tazer on the trash route, for unruley dogs. I can't believe how many people put out their trash, and also leave their Rotweiler out also.

Then you can humanely detain the dog by giving it a ever so little shock.. Once or twice... You know those garbage cans are expensive! :D

I'm thinking I'm going to get a bunch of "feeder fish" and try to start this pond up. I'll try to get some photos going next week as the grassguy and the poolguy get things looking better on Monday. What do you think about stocking a smallish pond... crappie was what I was leaning towards.

I'd go with what every pond has in it, Blue gill/sunfish, Catfish, Lg mouth.

If you are putting them in a yard pond they won't grow very big. If its a good size pond they will do pretty good
