We have to pay an extra $15 in Indiana also, but it goes to the Veteran homes that they have around the state.

The king of all specialty plates is Florida. They must have at least 100 different plates to choose from. I live in Oregon now and just got my new SWA veteran plates.

When I was in CA, I had Veteran plates that came with a sticker that I stuck on the plate in a predesignated area. The sticker denotes which war/conflict you were involved in. I believe they cost me $25 extra. As well as being personalized.

I like seeing the veteran plates, and the stickers on windows and such, but I'm not comfortable putting them on my vehicle.

Unfortunately none of our plates are dedicated to any specific conflict but rather the type of service and mine characters are all letters, no numbers. Here is the type I am runnng on my truck:

That's funny. I grew up in Scio. Next time I come up for renewal, I'm all over the SWA plates.

I was at Camp Stanley (or was it Stanton?) only for a TDY trip in '78 or '79 to visit an AH1 Cobra unit. I remember it had a pretty wild little 'ville' outside the gates. I was an E-4 68J10 (Camp Humphreys) at the time, the trip was a pure boondoggle. I was at Camp Page (Chunchon)as a 55X30 in 85-86. 1972 (early Dec.) to 1974 (late Jan.) I was an MP/Sentry dog handler on an ADA (Nike-Herc) site just south of Inchon, on the Yellow Sea. Korea was sure different then! A private could party like king!
