Part of the problem with the spam getting missed is when someone posts something on a new spam thread then it gets missed because the message shows as one of you guys, not a name not recognized.

I have gone back pretty far (years worth or posts plus) and deleted as much crap as I could find.

Yeah, someone usually gets to it as soon as we see it. Unfortunately there will always be idiots that post garbage....

Check the new members as you get them on a daily basis. I ask my Staff on Political Place to help me with this, and it works well.

I know this is alot of work, but maybe you have a Mod that is on all the time that is willing to do that.

That would be me. I hit the site at least a dozen times a day since I sit on a computer all day. I delete the posts as soon as I see them and ban the user. Troutster comes along and deletes those banned users too. If you notice, tjhose spam posts will usually never sit there more than a few hours before getting deleted...except those posted in middle of night which usually get deleted by 8-9am each morning

I have been pretty impressed how fast that you and Scott take care of the spam. It usually doesn't stay there long. My hat is off to both of you.

416 banned spammers were just deleted. All of these users registered within the last month and posted spam which in turn was deleted within minutes to a few hours after it was posted.

Since 11ish last night, over a dozen more have registered. I have banned them and deleted all their posts and profile-listed websites too. Almost all were either drug company websites or XXX of some nature.

Its a never ending battle.

I ripped into one of these scumbags this morning that posted some serious nasty pics.
I am glad my little girl wasn`t standing here when I clicked on that thread.

I'll kill those threads when I get home. Now that I've been warned, maybe I don't want to open them here at work....

I for one find it disrespectful for someone to come on here and post spam. I mean this is a place were all of us Desert Storm Vets can share the time we spent over there and give a little insite into what we have been up to since. I do feel that the majority is just like what was said in another post, just wanting to boost their search engine ratings, how ever I get the strangest feeling that a few are ones that only want to put a negitive light on the accomplishments of our men and women who have proudly served our great country.

Sorry for the rant. Just wanted to air my personal opinion on the subject.
