Yes, go to the VA and either ask your doc to refer you over to mental health or just stop in "because you just want to talk". Trust me when I say you are not alone, you'll see Vietnam vets, DS vets, and the others that have been coming back over the last 10 years too.

Go to group if they offer it, ask if they don't. Stay in it for awhile before giving up on it. I've just had a lot of things going on my last 5-6 months with work and have been avoiding my 3rd Friday of each month Gulf War Vet meetings. I will be going back this month though.

tough stretch. Take meds if ya got'em. Stay focused on why you're feelin' like this. I'm hoping I can keep it together too.

Here's my how my first visit went with the VA. My daughter was born in 2008 so I decided to seek help to resolve some of my aches and pains. I go and sign up for medical benefits and was told that I made to much money at that time. I tired again every year since then and finally was seen last year in May. My Dr. said that he would schedule some appointments for him to see me every six months, nothing yet. I go in as a walk in when I'm really can't take the pain, I asked for PTSD evalution and nothing yet... I was given a butt load of meds one of them happens to be athletes foot cream for my rashes (it doesn't work). I'm at a lost with my claims as well, I've gotten pretty good in filing for fellow vets though. I've managed to get several at least a 70% rating. VA won't help me file for mine, so I've learned the rules and laws to assist me with mine. I pass that knowledge along to anyone who asked. I've lost fellow combat brothers who just couldn't take it anymore. Well thanks fellas for listening to me..... Has anyone seen or has heard anything on DS 20th because I haven't, we are truly forgotton..........................
