When the assault was over, we saved our Chicken-ala-King packets for this old, dog that hung around our tracks. The 1Sgt started to give us crap for violating the Do NOT FEED THE DOGS order. We explained, she had been successfully keeping the rest of the entire pack out of camp for her 1 meal a day. He looked the other way after that.

Thanks Redfish. I'm sure many of us Army types were in much the same area since the Army was deployed on the western front. Brings back memories reading some of the posts.. People not super active on here anymore I guess?

Any way i could get my 20th engineer brigade patch put up as a avatar?

I couldn't stand the Omelette and ham, or Chicken ala King (puke in a pouch). Spaghetti and tuna noodles was good though.

and I agree that the Top Shelfs were NASTY.
