Gulf war study update at Georgetown University

Post by ballard390 » Tue Aug 31, 2010 10:43 pm

It has come to my attention that they are now taking veterans from any era showing the same symptoms for this chronic fatigue study. Dr. Baranuik (who is leading the GWI study ) went to the National Gulf War Research Group Conference in Dallas and spoke with Jim Bunker-who's been steer heading the group for at least 10 years who concurs that it is quite interesting that the same pattern is in some ways replicating itself. If interested in this study please contact Christian.

Christian @ (202) 687-8231 Georgetown university

Any veteran showing symptoms which mimick the Gulf War Syndrome are incouraged to call Georgetown University to see if they qualify for this study. The study is reimbursed and they will send out a complete description of the testing being done and are very helpful and very motivated to help find the cause and potential treatment for what has tortured hundreds of thousands of veterans and has not been relieved by conventional methods. Veterans from many different era's who experience any combination of the following conditions or symptoms may be interested in the knowledge and better understanding and management of their symptoms:
From:
"A wide range of acute and chronic symptoms have included fatigue, loss of muscle control, headaches, dizziness and loss of balance, memory problems, muscle and joint pain, indigestion, skin problems, immune system problems, and birth defects. Approximately 250,000 of the 697,000 veterans who served in the 1991 Gulf War are afflicted with enduring chronic multi-symptom illness, a condition with serious consequences."

You can opt out of the meds part. The study drug is Carnosine and is a separate study. It is drug that you can buy from a health store, basically an amino acid. Hope you do well with the study Snyder. When did you start the study?
