I agree, glad you found us brother. We'd love to hear from you and how your doing from time to time. We all have to look out for each others and only others that have been "in the thick of it" truly know what we are talking about.

Feel free to post any memories, stories, or pics you may have regardless of what they are. We have some images of our time in the military, family and even some random odd ball things here too. Lots of stories of our dealings with the VA as well as our spouses and those around us.

Join in and become part of our li'l family of vets.

Glad you're still here. Sorry to hear that you are having troubles, but join the crowd ... seems like many of us have had difficulties. Been there on the drinkin' ... and the cashin' the in.

Hang tough ... get help ... demand it through your closest VA ... it just takes a phone call.

Here are some others I found. Some are great and so true.

“The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.”

General George S. Patton quotes (American General in World War I and II, 1885-1945)

“I would rather have a good plan today than a perfect plan two weeks from now.”

.

“If everybody's thinking alike, somebody isn't thinking.”

General George S. Patton quotes (American General in World War I and II, 1885-1945)

“Always do more than is required of you.”

I'm hearing numbers like 20% have PTSD. That's like 100,000 just from that. Then add the rest like chronic illness, fatigue, fibromyalgia, etc. Probably accurate and climbing.

truth be told , we"ll probably never really know the real numbers. between the gov. and the va , as usual the infro. we"ll prob get is by us researching stuff, and passing it along.
but i must say, we all still watch each others backs, better than the gov, va ever could. and for that i"m forever greatfull to all you... my brothers, sisters.... my family.
