That's where I've been. I've just not been able to go on those days. Can't deal with people. Not good for me or them.

I was able to work for 15 years after going to college cuz i become a janitor :). Never around people. I became the boss so i didn't have to deal with things not being done my way. Worked with only 2-3 people and things went well... then the economy went to shizzle and i knew that it was going to hit the fan soon... I was tired of the struggle to stay employed so i just walked away.

I saved up 5k and bought a plane ticket for the Philippines. Lived on my 10% disability for 8 months after getting married while working to get a raise and some new claims. I'm up to 40% now and still working on it.

For those of you that can .. you might want to think about coming to the Philippines... I really think the VA over here is not as tough. I got a raise on my asthma rating from 10% to 30% and got 10% for a skin condition... all on my own, and did it in 4 months.

Now while still trying to get ratings for a couple things im thinking seriously of checking on ssd. Ive heard of some that have gotten both for the same issues... Not sure how that works yet. Ive worked enough to qualify though ... so maybe i should put in a claim and see what happens.

Welcome Griff, glad to see you found us. How are you doing these days? There are a few of us regulars here, why don't you join us by stopping in every few days or more often. We'd love to hear about you since you left the desert, any dealing with the VA over the years, any stories or memories you might want to share and of course, we love pics from back then.
