We need someone who has experienced combat.

1.When you first saw combat did you have any second thoughts about joining?

2.What gave you the courage to fight?

3.How are you affected by the war now on a daily basis?

4.Do you feel courage can exist without fear?

5.What was/were your worst/most fearful experience(s)?

6.What helped you get through these times?

7.Has your training inspired you to gain courage and overcome fear?

8.Are you more confident now because of having served?

9.Do you have anyother reactions about the topic of fear, courage, and the war?

10.What were your best experiences of the war?

11.Please tell anyother interesting occurances that happened during your service.

If someone could please respond to these questions within the next 4-5 it would be greatly appreciated.

Please e-mail to redsoxfan243389@comcast.net if its easier.

Thank you

1.When you first saw combat did you have any second thoughts about joining?
NO

2.What gave you the courage to fight?
I was trained for just that type of situation, when I got scared, my training kicked in and I knew what needed to be done.

3.How are you affected by the war now on a daily basis?
I think of it a lot, especially when I see some of the newer vets coming back. I can understand them.

4.Do you feel courage can exist without fear?
Maybe some people can hide their fear but I say you can't have one without the other.

5.What was/were your worst/most fearful experience(s)?
Landing there because I was young and had no idea what to expect. There were times when I felt very scared and those thoughts/memories still haunt me to this day.

6.What helped you get through these times?
Talking about it to others who understand what I am talking about. I particiapte in groups through the VA that help with this.

7.Has your training inspired you to gain courage and overcome fear?
YES and my wife hates it

8.Are you more confident now because of having served?
I can say YES to this too, I was only 20 when I went in and never had a purpose. Once I got into the Army and was trained, I felt like an important part of the machine. It gave me self respect.

9.Do you have any other reactions about the topic of fear, courage, and the war?
I fear for those over there now.

10.What were your best experiences of the war?
Hearing we completed our task of saving a country from being over run.

I apologize for my snotty remark ... I don't respond well to inquiries about my military experience, but I guess others need to here it to understand it.
