Well I'm Retiring

Post by rodneyw71 » Sun Nov 18, 2007 5:41 pm

.......from watching NASCAR, this will be my last year watching it. My Dad was a race car driver so I grew up watching it, so this is a rough decision for me, but my family is behind me 100%. My retirement has alot to do with the C.O.T., and the fact that there are guys who's name I can't pronounce, and are racing in a lifestyle that is truely American. Just thought I'd throw this out, and to see if there is anybody else who feels the same way I do.

We haven't been watching the races with as much enthusiasm as we used to... I am not sure whether or not we will be watching much next year... Maybe just to see how JR does in the 88 car...

I watched off and on but completely stopped when Dale was killed, it happened a week or so after my own father passed. My father was a major big time Dale fan...in fact he was here, obviously, when my father passed away. We live about 40 miles south of the Daytona Speedway by the Space Center.

I hope retirement is doing better for you.. You know what it really means... Retirement= having to find something else to keep you busy for 8 hours a day....

Just so happens I do watch fishing on tv, I like to watch those guys down south dive down and bring up a catfish with their hands.
