me and my driver had pretty much the same taste in music but our TC liked oldies like The Everly Brothers and Tommy James and The Shondells and our loader was into rap like Snoop Dog and Dr. Dre. hell, before I met him, I thought N.W.A. was National Wrestling Alliance. I had a boombox with AM/FM and short wave but while we were rolling the driver had his walkman wired into the intercom and he had a mix tape with everything from AC/DC to Stevie Ray Vaughn. I remember going through a mine field one night listening to Tight Rope.

...and a damn good album that was!

Welcome to the forums Kridder. We are glad you found us. PLEASE feel free to share some info about yourself, your unit back then, any dealings you've had with the VA and pics. We love pics from back in that time.

I had a tape with Dead Kennedys - Bedtime for Democracy on one side and Intense Mutilation - Safe Sex on the other. While I was over there I bought two tapes in those plastic boxes that looked like mini-VHS boxes, anyone remember those? Black Crows - Shake Your Moneymaker and AC/DC - Blow Up Your Video. I'm pretty sure they were bootlegged tapes but whatever, I think I got them for $5 a piece.

Yea, I remember those bootlegs. I had a dozen or so of them. I eventually pawned them and the rest of my CDs at one point after I left the service and was broke as hell although I think I may still have 1 Scorpions bootleg tape and box soemwhere.
