R&R in Bahrain

Post by robkeller » Thu Apr 05, 2007 10:20 am

Did anyone else get a chance to go to Bahrain for three days of R&R? My unit was able to go towards the end of March. Flew a C-130 out of KKMC and stayed on a cruise ship docked at a pier. Thankfully we were able to drink while there since it is legal to do so in Bahrain.

On the Cunard Princess. I was there during romadon. We could drink on the ship but not in public.

I turned down my chance to hit the boat, drinking and being away from home wouldn't have mixed good with me

I had a chance to go, they told us we were going home any day, and I didn't want to miss the plane, but I did go down town, and bought a bunch of things for people back home.

I was slotted to go . They gave it to someone else at the last minute ,
chased me off the bus . They said he "needed it more ." .
