Ah the memories.

I just came across a link that took me to the Megadeth website and what do you know, they are live telecasting an Ohio concert across their website right now.

Man-o-Man the memories of cranking Megadeth over my trascks comm system while moving across the desert.

Iron Man (Black Sabbath), Paint it Black (Rolling Stones), We Will Rock You (Queen), Don't Stop Believin' (Journey), Sweet Home Alabama (Lynyrd Skynyrd) were the songs we played over the loud speakers when we rolled out. Kept the rhythm going while we were rolling through Iraq.

Here's a trivia question I learned from Jeopardy:

:?: What was the 1st song AFN played when they got up & running in Saudi Arabia during Desert Shield?

 Rock the Casbah by The Clash!

My driver & gunner listened to a lot of NWA.

Huh, all this time I thought that it was The Cure's - Killing an Arab???

Shows how much I forgot of my time over there.

If this song had been out then, I would have piped this through my track commo system instead.

This would have definately had the adrenelin flowing and the trigger fingers a itching !

For some odd reason the only darn song I can remeber is that Ice, Ice Baby. I hate it now and have not wanted to hear.
