I just had my DD214 updated to show both of those medals. I was also awarded my third star on my SWA medal. I am trying to find my orders to prove that I recieved 3 AAM (Army Achievement Medals). They only have me down as recieving one of them.

When we got back we were told we could wear 3 stars, but then they told us only 2 were authorized. I never recceived my Kuwait medals, I never knew about the last one, until I came on this site. But I have them now.

Did you leave right after the cease fire? I was there for a couple of months after that so I am authorized to wear the third star.

Same as me. My unit was sent back to Germany and I was volunteered to stay behind. I was one of the few that spent more time in theater than the rest of the unit.

I got two AAM's and have both certificates and orders but my DD-214 only reflects 1 so that is my next attempt at an additional correction DD-215.

Now that I have read the criteria that Redmaxx posted, I plan to add that to my request along with my proof of 2nd AAM. I am pushing for my Good Conduct Medal too, when I became eligible our unit had just been put on alert and when I asked about it I was told it would have to wait until we got back...if we did. Of course that never happened.

I was volunteered. Lucky me. Oh well, that was another reason to take the early out.

Dagger, so far I have found two set of orders for my AAM, I am looking for the third set. Good luck on the Good Conduct.

Thanks for the links!

I hope Army Human Resource Command has my records, I’d really like to get those awards! I was over there from middle of December 1990 to end of April 1991, so I know I qualify.
