Elevenbravo87...Amen on that!

As of today, I was already 2 days in Saudi Arabia and I wanted the hell out, lol

I remember spending Christmas in Tent City(?) and joined troops singing Christmas Carols and trying to decorate a sorry-ass bush for a Christmas Tree, lol

Can't believe it's been 20 yrs .... wow.

I remember PCSing out of 1AD and the CSM of 3rd Cav had already sent me my new unit patches and as my wife and daughter and I were going to our gate at Rhine-mein I seen a bunch of soldiers sitting on thier bags on a layover and low and behold I looked at thier unit patch and I said to my wife, " I guess I know where I am going". an inprocessing and a few shots later I was on my way to the big sandbox!
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

Hey folks,

Been out for awhile ... just couldn't muster the energy to get on here and participate. Decided this morning that I should and would, so I did.

Hope everyone has a good New Year ... Hand tough and keep your powder dry.
