Need some action in here. How about a controversial topic? Any body got a new thought? New idea?

I had higher expectations from him. He has been a disappointment. To say the least.

disappointment yes, but remember who also sets the laws, an so forth...congress. so i"d have to go with him an congress, as being two great disappointments. they gave all this money to big business not to mention other countries, hows that supposed to help everyday people? if they"d gave every homeowner, say, $50,000 to go toward their homeloans, with documents to prove that they did owe towards a home, of course. or just so much towards your bills that you owed . that would have jump started the ecomony. because what do most people do when they lower their debt? they go out an spend more!!!

my cousin called me this morning, he"s home from iraq. wanted to know if i could come over to his parents house today. he"s called a couple times this week, we keep missing each other. says he"s just needing to talk, if i could just listen.... told him i"d be up this afternoon. he"s the age that most of us was when we went to war.....reminds me of a different time that seems so long ago, but also like it was yesterday also.....

Oh wow haze what an opportunity to keep a young man from going through what a lot of us have. Awesome! Yes Congress too. That money could really have been better used. I said the same thing when they dispersed that money.

Talk to him now about those things that AREN'T bothering him before they start, get that bond going now before he needs it and fights with it. If he goes back overseas again, suggest to him that he start keeping a journal each time he goes out with details and names and so on. This will make things easier for him later on when he can't remember something important that happened or when he needs to explain something like some nasty dream or memory he is having due to a prior event he experienced over there. One of the guys in my unit was doing that, he was constantly writing something if he was not soldiering at that moment. I hope he does/did something with it. I'd like to read it and it would definitely make for a better movie than most I have seen about the Gulf War.

i told him that i was just a phone call away, that he could call me anytime day or nite. dunno if he kept a journal or not..... like most of us, wishing that we did, along with maps etc.
most movies about the gulf war are a joke..... at least from my units point of view.
