Well damn. I've tried to call out some folks for conversation. I guess maybe this place has run it's course. I'd hoped for some comradery and socialization amongst folks who might can relate. I do understand how it runs out of interest and many have been members here a long time. Talk about anything. I've tried starting new topics and that did'nt work. I have not talked about the shit that went on in the desert to any one since we left it. Period. Well it came back and now it haunts me. Meds make me dream weird shit. I assassinated Kenny Chesney last night and got caught trying to get Tim McGraw. Strange. Tomorrow I go to Walmart in the rain to get pictures made of my 2 year old and my 10 month old. It is a xmas present for my wife. Should be fun. Oh well I'm gonna pop smoke on my position and hope someone finds me.

This site is slow, just aint got much interest right now ... been fighting some hefty battles with the docs at the VA. The 'discussions' leave me pretty worn and disinterested.

Good luck at work ... and its a good thing you are doing with your kids.

Thanx Top. I hope your battles are leaning in your favor. I hate that it is even a "battle". But, I do understand. I am hoping this time around I am treated a little better. That may be too optimistic.
I first went to the VA in about '93. They put me on Xanax. I could'nt function. So I did not take it and did not go back. I went back in about '95 and got a huge run around they scheduled a huge amount of tests including an MRI due to my pain in my neck and back and bad sciatica pain. I went for my appointment and after sitting there for an hour after my appointment time. I asked. They said "Oh your doc. no longer is here and the new doc. said nothing was on your xrays so nothing was wrong with you and he canceled all your appointments a month ago." They had to escort me out. I never went back until 6 or so weeks ago.
I'm just reachin' out to a group who can identify with me is all. I appreciate your ear. Mine is hear if you wanna vent.

I forgot to mention my outburst Thanksgiving. I absolutely lost it. I went down to the creek below the house and screamed like a maniac, tore my shirt off, picked up a log and started smashing rocks and stuff, picked up large rocks and smashed them into other rocks until I was exhausted. Scared my kids, my wife and me. Should have gone to the VA but I can't afford to get admitted. I've already missed three weeks last month. God Almighty I hope this gets manageable. I'm glad I had meds to take. At least they mellow me out some.

Thanks for the well wishes, it's been a long fight with the docs. They like to prescribe meds but I don't accept them, they don't like that and say that I am refusing treatment. They can't seem to determine what's wrong but the insist that they can fix it with meds. go figure.

Sorry to hear about Thanksgiving, I'll bet it did freak the family out. Good thing is that you had enough sense about you to direct your anger, or whatever it was that made you freak out, at something and not someone ... good choice on your part.

I keep seeing the docs because I get little pieces at a time that help. The behavioral health folks really did a lot for me and helped me understand what I'm up against ... they did and do help alot.

I advise you to keep seeing them whenever you feel the need ... they can and will help you prevent to damage to those you love ... I learned the hard way that they are the ones that really bear the brunt of my outbursts.

Stay safe man ... logs and rocks are ok ... if that's what it takes for you to be safe, then so be it.

On the lighter side:

One day, in line at the company cafeteria, Bob says to Mike behind him, 'My elbow hurts like hell. I guess I'd better see a doctor.'
'Listen, you don't have to spend that kind of money,' Mike replies.
'There's a diagnostic computer down at Wal-Mart. Just give it a urine sample and the computer will tell you what's wrong and what to do about it.
It takes ten seconds and costs $10 - A lot cheaper than a doctor.'
So, Bob deposits a urine sample in a small jar and takes it to Wal-Mart..
He deposits $10, and the computer lights up and asks for the urine sample. He pours the sample into the slot, waits and 10 seconds later, the computer ejects a printout:
'You have tennis elbow. Soak your arm in warm water and avoid heavy activity. It will improve in 2 weeks. Thank you for shopping @ Wal-Mart.'
That evening, while thinking how amazing this new technology was, Bob began wondering if the computer could be fooled. He mixed some tap water, a stool sample from his dog, urine samples from his wife and daughter, and a sperm sample for good measure.
Bob hurries back to Wal-Mart, eager to check the results. He deposits $10, pours in his concoction, and awaits the results.
The computer prints the following:
1. Your tap water is too hard. Get a water softener. (Aisle 9)
2. Your dog has ringworm. Bathe him with anti-fungal shampoo. (Aisle 7)
3. Your daughter has a cocaine habit. Get her into rehab.
4. Your wife is pregnant. Twins. They aren't yours. Get a lawyer.
5. If you don't stop playing with yourself, your elbow will never get better!
Thank you for shopping @ WalMart

Cold and windy, tried to do some stuff outside this morning ... ended up taking some meds and slept most of the day ... just got up and it's dark outside already.

Wife asleep here. She worked last night and was up most of today. 10 month old is down for the night. The two year old and I are eating buttered popcorn and watching Spongebob. Does it get any better than watching your 2 year old eat popcorn next to you on the couch? So sweet, so innocent, so trusting that everything in the world is good. Absolute trust in me. Sometimes I find a little piece of something that makes every sacrifice worth while and something to make me strive to be a better man.

Peace and goodness to all on this cold wet night. May we all rest tonight like a two year old who has had hot popcorn, Spongebob and Chocolate milk with Daddy on the couch.

I miss those days. My daughters are 18 and 17 now. One in college and one a senior in HS. I pretty much just have my nephew now (he will be 8 in a week) and when he is at my house we watch movies. Enjoy your children while you can, before you know it they won't want to hang with you or anything.
