Welcome to Friday everyone. Another busy weekend in store for me. Tomorrow we are hosting a road rally and on Sunday we have to go to a fundraiser for the VFW Department of MI 4th District Ladies Auxiliary. I like being a District Officer way better than being a Post Officer.

I wish the weather would clear up, I been trying to get my new roof put on. The contractor said it would be a 3-4 day job, it's going on 3 weeks. It seems to want to rain every other day.

its been cooling down a little here in Central Florida the last week or so. Yesterday morning and this morning it was in the high 60's when I got up and let the dogs out just before sunrise, not the muggy 80* its been the last 5 months.

Seeing how everybody is doing on here, forgot how lonely deployments are, lol been 19 yrs since I had been on one. Can't wait to et home and sleep in my own bed and crap on my own toilet again, lol Oh and take a normal shower, not a combat one. You forget how much of a sacrifice the guys and gals in the military make everyday when they are deployed, this has been a real life check for me, I'm gonna appreciate everyone and everything when I get back, I promise.

Thanks, I miss my kids and girlfriend something bad. What's funny I never thought anything about writing soldiers or anybody letters, i never thought today with e-mail it doesn't matter, well it does, when we have mail call guys still get excited over a letter, an e-mail you can't hold, but when you have the physical letter in your hand, it makes your heart pound, it's weird I can't explain it, never thought at this age I would be this way. Im at a F.O.B. so mail only comes about every 2 weeks. Hope you guys are doing good, talk to you later.

At least you have email in between mail call every 2 weeks to hold you over until then.

Stay safe brother, you're in our prayers.
