Welcome to Friday. Today my oldest daughter graduates from High School. I get to go to the graduation and then I get to work the Senior Party in the school gym afterwards.

Congrats, its weird seeing you guys with kids graduating high school yet my daughter just grduated 1st grade and my son just graduated Pre-K. I am pretty sure I waited way too long to have kids.

Thanks. Enjoy your children while they are still young. Mine really want nothing to do with me now (I am not cool). It seems like just yesterday I was taking my oldest to her first day of kindergarden. In three generations my family has gone through all three high schools in the Dearborn School district. God am I old...............

Welcome to Sunday. I hope that everyone had a great weekend. I ended up at a street sale yeasterday and bought a DVD burner for the wife's computer for $5.00. It looks like it is brand new. For $5.00 I don't think that I could go wrong.

$5 is a good deal, I just hope it works for you flawlessly.

Happy Monday to you too.

I installed it yesterday and it seems to work perfectly. I found a Wii fit (used) for $60 and I am going to pick it up this afternoon. I have lost about 60 lbs over the past year (because I am always going to something VFW) and I want to lose more weight. My youngest daughter and I will use it together and be each others motivation. Man, it is so empty on this forum you could swing a camel by it's tail and not hit anyone. Sorry Saucy.........

Welcome to Tuesday. Tonight is my last executive board as Commander of my VFW Post. My last General Membership meeting will be on Thursday 11 June 2009 (my oldest daughter's 18th birthday). As of this Friday I will be a single digit midget as Commander.

I'm glad you enjoy your VFW membership. I think many times that I would like to get into something meaningful, but just can't seem to make the move. I think the biggest thing that stops me is the committment after the intial zeal ... I don't have the capacity to manage much more than my personal life.

Kids are great ... My wife and I have four ... all graduated from college and in the working world with lives of their own ... I wish they were young again mainly because I miss having time to spend with them.

I guess that I became so involved because my daughters were getting older and I wanted to get into something that would keep my mind off of them leaving. I need to stay busy or else I will just plop my fat rear in front of the idiot tube all night. I don't have many friends that I do things with. The VFW members are my family/friends but most of them are 80 plus years old. I have a friend that I have known since the 5th grade but he has his life and I have mine and we don't really get together to do things like we should. It is great to see you back on the forum FA1SGret.

Dagger, I probably won't be online next week. I am going to Red River Army Depot in Texas. I am not sure if I am bringing my laptop or not. If I don't I will be back late Thursday night so I will probably get online on Friday sometime.

Nah, I don't want to play something, I want to squeeze the trigger on something, set the timer on something and wait, hell, I'll even settle with lighting the fuse and running like hell for cover. I want to really scare them, not annoy them...HAHA.

You got to know my neighbors to understand where I am coming from.

FYI,
You know, of course, I am only kidding. I'd move before ever really doing something like that. I enjoy my freedom toooooo much.

p.s., saw Gran Torino last night, I really liked the movie.
