I sure hope Santa wears a new pair of Camos when he visits our brothers & sisters over in harms way. I hope he also brings them nice shiny new booms sticks to make the bad guys go away for good, theres been a lot of naughty boys & girls over there hurting our people.

p.s. heres a pic of Santa TDY looking out for our troops, I think he has been over there a li'l too long and lost too much weight.

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2009
, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great.
Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere. Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.

To My Republican/Non PC/Independent Thinking Friends, and anyone who won't take offense to:
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

On a shorter note, Merry Christmas to all of you and to all our Brothers & Sisters both in harms way and those who are not.

And finally, on a SIDE note:
A story with a happy ending!

The ex-cheerleader (age 19) and now an Air Force Security Forces Sniper in this picture was watching a road that lead to a NATO military base when she observed a man digging by the road. She engaged the target, and she shot him. Turned out he was a bomb maker for the Taliban and he was burying an IED that was to be detonated when a US patrol walked by 30 minutes later. It would have certainly killed and wounded several of our soldiers.

The interesting fact of this story is the shot was measured at 725 yards. She shot him as he was bent over burying the bomb. The shot struck him in the butt following into the bomb which detonated. He was blown to pieces. The Air Force made a motivational poster of her.

I been stopping in just about every day and I agree, its like a ghost town here lately. I remember days when I'd see 20-25 posts having been made, now I'm lucky if I see 1 in 3-4 days.

Hows the weather out there? We got into the high 20's F last night here in central Florida.
