I never did get a taste for coffee.... there were Brits on our site that had tea and biscuits they were happy to share. :D And eggs... those Brits are so civilized, even in war, lol!

I ran into a few that wanted to try our MRE's so we traded a few things for them.. The Rations that they had were a little different then ours, but tasted about the same...

There are other drinks if you want them...

Spaghetti was good; loved the cheese with it, but I think the cheese was from another package.

I got several older ones; one was a beef patty with baked beans. mmmmm!

We were told we could each pack a footlocker in our rigs, and I had mine stuffed with chef boyardee and ramen. It actually lasted the better part of 3 months! 8) I sure was popular for those 3 months, too... LOL.

I don't remember it being bad.... but I do remember it required some sort of "preparation" in the canteen cup. I think I mixed it with the beans, and maybe some other liquid. Oh, I'm sure what I remember was "mm, mm good" would actually send me heaving to the bathroom now!

I prefered the spaghetti with a cheese pouch squeezed in. I remember being setup in Safwan just before we moved on the airfield itself and seeing a kitten turn down "Ham & Chicken Loaf".

For a little while we didn't get a chance to go "shopping" anywhere... When we did, I did enjoy a few things that I was able to get.

Coffee is on, there are some doughnuts on the bar.... Have a good day every one. :)
