Busy weekends for me. I have been working 8 hours overtime every Saturday for the last few weeks. Coaching season has started for me as well so Sat and Sun evenings I am at the pool teaching the little kids how to dive. That is my energizer, I love working with kids and teaching them new things! But come Monday morning I'm exhausted, just can't seem to get enough rest.

Yes it is, I've been posting the URL around the net hoping to generate some traffic and we are seeing an occasional newby. The weather is getting nice out and I assume more people are outside playing instead of sitting behind the computer like a lump.

We went to a haunted house fundraiser that some of my friends at work and their neighbors put on every year to raise money for the local food pantry. I'm fine with the gouls and ghost stuff, although my other half isn't and she nearly ripped my thumb off holding my hand so tight.

But there was something that gave me a bit of a setback. I heard the sound of automatic weapon fire in the distance as we walked though a wooded part of the trail so I mentally prepared my conscious mind for what was coming, too bad my subconscious mind over rode everything. When we got to where the person in camoflage was, hiding behind camo netting, he opened up with what sounded like M-16 fire and I flew to the ground. I was shaking all over and couldn't drive home that night. I have experienced increased distraction and frequency of anxiety attacks as well as hyper vigilance and nightmares. Halloween Night I had to fight the urge to go out and walk the perimiter of our yard after dark and guard our home....but what from?

I did let the guy know that as a war veteran I didn't appreciate that. He felt really bad about it but you would think that common sense would dictate that there are a lot of war vets on the streets with PTSD and stuff like that can really set someone off. He's just lucky I wasn't carrying!

Have you had therapy sis? I feel for ya. I wouldn't have done the haunted house but that's called avoidance. I can empathise with your feelings.

Yes I am in therapy. I have my next appointment in 2 weeks. It just sucks when you work so hard to get better and have an unforeseen set back. I have a good support system with you guys here and with my family at home.

We shall overcome!

Been hard to have posting interest lately. It seems most of us on here have are suffering the same thing right now. Over the last month or so its been hard for me to generate an interest in anything. Current meds are helping though.

I know what you mean, not much happening here either.

Went to my local VA office last Friday to finally file for disability and of course it closed 30 minutes before I got there. Gonna try again bright and early tomorrow.
