DO NOT SEND THEM THE ORIGINALS, I say again DO NOT SEND THEM THE ORIGINALS

They have access to everything except your latter already, only send them copies, like bilbo said they can and will lose them if at all possible.

I need to look into my units medals a bit more with all this talk about possible other medals. Would be nice to have all I am eligible for.

I sent copies, I wouldn't send the origional Desert storm data certificate, they told me to never loose it. I sent it certified mail, so they have to sign for it. I also sent them a letter I wrote explaining everything, because the 149 doesn't give much room to write. If it wasn't for this site I would never have known about any of this, thanks for the help guys.

I got the Medals along with a letter from the Airforce authorizing the medals to me, and they were sending them to Seperations and would be adding them to my DD214, and I will be hearing from them in a seperate letter. I have a thread explaining it.

I was talking to a guy who was in the Airforce in D.S. and he got a big ribbon of the liberation of Kuwait, we never got one of them either, our base commander said it wasn't going on our orders but were authorized to wear it. It's not on my 214.

Desert Farewell. My unit was there from Oct 24, 1990 to August 21, 1991. I remember that much. My unit got tasked to stay longer to see to the retrograde of ammo back to the U.S.
