Re: 586 Maint. Co, 2ND Coscom, Ludendorff Kassern (DS / DS)

Been trying to get a hold of Spc Paul Echols. We were good friends over there and seen a little of each other during the war. I was stationed at BMF with the 263rd MT Co. When I first went to Germany I had orders for the 586th Mt. But you guys were full with my MOS there so I was sent to the 263rd. ...

Re: Liberation of Kuwait

I finally got a response back from the Personal records center and it was quite interesting. They don't have listed half of the ribbons that I have listed on my dd214 and they didn't give me any of the "Arabia Lib of Kuwait", or "Lib of Kuwait" ribbons. I guess I will have to call them.

Re: What can we do to get more participation?

I have posted this forum on my Units page at Military.com also, But it doesn't see much action there. I have also posted it on my facebook page to try and get some of my friends to join but that doesn't seem to work either.

Re: Desert Storm Bar and Grille

I wish the weather would clear up, I been trying to get my new roof put on. The contractor said it would be a 3-4 day job, it's going on 3 weeks. It seems to want to rain every other day.

Re: What was on your Desert Shield/Storm Soundtrack?

AC/DC, ZZ top, Guns and Roses, A couple Ozzy tapes and some mixed country tapes. We did a lot of tape trading with other units just to have some variety. But the ones listed above were the ones I didn't trade.

Re: military campaign badge

I think it would be a medal given to those who served in a campaign or expeditionary exercise that is not declared a war. Some examples may be Panama, Granada, Kosovo, just to name a couple.

Re: Weather in your area.

High 80's - low 90's and the humidity is brutal. 99.2 degrees in the plant today. Takes a toll on a person after 12hrs of working in this kind of heat.

Re: Weather in your area.

Rain, rain go away, so the sun can come out and play. Well it's still raining, At least it is holding out till the evenings. Although I don't quite remember what the sun looks like. This has been one of the top 5 wetest years that I can remember.
